Where has the summer gone? It seems that just yesterday we were in the final stages of preparing for all the 100 year activities and fund raisers. Well I guess that when you keep busy, time goes by fast! I am looking forward to fall and all the fun we will be having here in our lodge. Keep your eyes focused on our bulletin boards throughout the lodge so you can take full advantage of what your membership has to offer you. Our family picnic was one of the best I can remember. Thanks to all the membership that choose to take part in this event. Thanks to all that helped plan, setting up, cook, doing raffles and cleaning up. I am proud of the volunteers that jumped in to help their lodge. There are too many to name. Whether you were a employee, officer, committee member or a member who hade resources to make our picnic a success, I thank you! August was again a busy month for the Moose Riders. On the 7th, we had 12 bikes that supported the UPMC ride and another 5 bikes that supported the Titusville Moose Family Centers first poker run. Everyone who attended these rides reported that they had a very good time. August 14th, we had our second highway clean-up for this year on route 18.
Several Moose Riders attended the Moose Rider’s State Rally in Millersville, PA.
Anyone wishing to ride should note that weather permitting; we have been meeting in the
social quarters at 6 pm on Thursdays and riding to either Jamestown or to Warren for their bike nites. We have also been meeting at the Club on Sundays for rides on days other than the monthly scheduled rides.
Septembers ride and meeting will both be held on the 12th, so as to not conflict with the Labor Day weekend. We are in the process of finalizing the plaque for those that have donated to the buy-a –board project.
Membership is now 116 and growing!! We have shirts for sale for $12.00, please see a rider officer if you are interested in one.

Hello everyone!
Hard to believe our beautiful summer is winding down. What a great summer we had at the lodge. It was crazy but a great couple of months. Remember that school is back in session. Please keep an extra eye out on our kids as they head back to class. The winners of the kids bikes were Pat Yallum and Erol Walton. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who bought tickets and helped support Mooseheart! The bikes were raffled off at the Moose Family picinic. We had a beautiful day for the picinic. Thanks to everyone who brought a dish. I sampled a few and everything was delicious!! It seemed that everyone had a good time.
I am thrilled to announce the winner of the McGranahan Scholarship of $1000.00 this year was RJ Molson. He is the grandson of Betty Izenas. A special thank you to RJ and all of the candidates who applied for the scholarship. They are wonderful, beautiful and talented young adults. I was amazed at what these candidates have done and are hoping to do with thier lives. They were a true inspiration to all of us that sat and talked with them.
Volunteers are needed to help with 30/30 night and to help cook breakfast on the 26th of this month. Please contact me or any other officer if you would like to help. We have a lot of fun and would love to have some new faces in the kitchen! We have lots of great events planned for the upcoming months. Check the boards for announcements and join in the fun. If you see Shari Calvin make sure you congratulate her on earning her Green Cap award! Shari received her award at the State convention in Greentree in August. Congrats Shari!! Job well done. A special thank you to our bar steward Kim for her Lunch Box raffle project in August. We hope to do another one in the future! Have a safe and happy Labor Day everyone!!
